INFINITIVE or GERUNDS

What´s an infinitive? Write 5 examples of infinitives in English.

What´s a gerund? Write the gerunds of the verbs in infinitive forms written above.





GROUP ACTIVITY: Objective of the activity: Using as much Gerunds as posible. 


                                   Ask one question to each member of the class:

1. What are you good at?
2. What are you crazy about?
3. What are you afraid of?
4. What should you give up?
5. What are you interested in?
6. What do you insist a lot on?

Group activity number 2: Using Infinitives (with and without to)

Ask any of your partner questions with verbs that take an infinitive. For example: 

1. What do you need to be happy?
2. What do you want to do in your birthday? And on your holidays?
3, What would you like to do when you are 18?
etc. 

Group activity number 3: Do I like ...? or Does he/ she like...? (Gamification 1)


One group has to pick a famous person and making questions about the things this person likes doing or hates doing, the other group has to guess who he or she is. 


Group activity number 4: Explaining word by saying what are they used for- (Gamification)

                                             Example:
 What is the BIG TYRE of the photograph used for?
