WRITING ABOUT THE PAST: 

You have to write a report about an ancient place you know; it can be a fortress, a castle, an old house, anything that has a lot of history and you have heard stories or real events that have happened in that place. 

· It can be a story about a house in your village, a haunted palace, a spooky place that is connected to strange phenomena (ghosts, psychophonies, war time stories, etc.) the church or cathedral of a city, etc. 

·Minimum: 80 word should be enough to write about this place. 

·All the verbs (most of them) should be in PAST SIMPLE and PAST CONTINUOUS to write about the stories, the tales, the things that happened in that place. 

· The text should have at least 3 paragraphs: 

                 · First a short Introduction: where is the place located, when did you go for the first time, 
                   why is so special for you, do you go normally or you went once, etc. 

                 · Then the Main paragraph 1. Description of the place (how do you remember the 
                              place?): 

                            · Describe the place using THERE was  and THERE were, for example. 
                               " This castle was very old ; in the front courtyard there 
                              were some sculptures of some creatures and they 
                              were so old, no one  knew they really are. There was also a fountain 
                              near them". 

                            · What happened in that place ? (a war, a love story, a UFO                                                                          landed, etc. ). Tell the legend, story, tale that you hace heard                                                                        of. 

                  · How did you feel when you visited the place?                                                                              " I felt nervous because...".                                                                                                       " I felt happy because...". 

                               Remember to include the vocabulary about FEELINGS. 

                               " I went there with my friend Ane and it was so dark that                                                                                we were excited and at the same time a little bit scared."

                · Final conclusions: This is the last paragraph and you have to convince the reader why                          anybody should visit this place. 

                              "I recommend going to this place because it is ..."
