My Eighth grade English teacher would also correct "May I go to the bathroom" as our school didn't have any bathing fixtures. The only proper way to ask him was "May I go to the restroom". Of course this also generally happened in the lunch period, so the kid would                                              get corrected in front of everyone.

Shall erabiltzen da norbaiti gomendioren bat eskatzeko edota norbaiti zure laguntza eskaintzeko.
Adibidez, 
"Shall I open the window for you, you seem to be very hot!" 
"Shall we phone our friend Maite, we don't know if se would like to go to the cinema with us."
